The premise is exactly my kind of thing. Earth is dying of water scarcity, a team is sent to a shut-down research station on the moon to retrieve a sample, and nobody on the crew has been told what the sample actually is. The first two episodes are genuinely tense and the production design is superb. Those empty corridors look cold in a way most streaming sci-fi never manages. Bae Doona and Gong Yoo do serious work with fairly little. She plays the scientist who keeps asking the question everyone else is avoiding, he plays a captain carrying a private reason for taking the mission, and both stay believable even when the plotting around them does not. My problem is that the show reveals its secret early and then spends four more episodes walking toward it. By the final stretch I was tracking inconsistencies instead of feeling anything, and the ending lands more like an announcement than a reveal. Worth it for the atmosphere and the cast. I just wanted the script to trust its audience more.
