Navillera is not a loud drama. Nobody comes back from the dead, nobody inherits a conglomerate — it's just a seventy-year-old grandfather who decides, at last, to learn ballet, and a twenty-three-year-old dancer who reluctantly teaches him. Somehow that small premise carried me through more emotions than most blockbusters manage. The veteran actor playing Deok-chul acts with everything — his posture, his trembling hands, even his silences — and watching him bow to his own dream after a lifetime of postponing it genuinely got me. The student-teacher relationship grows into something tender without ever turning saccharine. It aired quietly and I understand why it isn't the first title people mention. But if you have room for a gentle story about it never being too late, this one is worth your evening. I finished it feeling lighter, and I still think about that stage scene sometimes.
